November 30, 2017

ILR achieved a new record for research publications in Fall 2017. In this issue of the ILR Research Review we are proud to present eight research documents covering a broad spectrum of challenges and opportunities across the litigation landscape, in addition to our semi-annual Ranking the States report. Topics addressed in this research cycle include:

  • Actionable suggestions for state legal system reform
  • Analysis of the increasing impact of TCPA lawsuits
  • Exploration of persistent flaws in the U.S. class action system and ways to address them
  • Breakdown of unscrupulous practices in pharmaceutical and medical device lawsuit advertising, and its often harmful effects on consumer health
  • Review of the state of play on class actions in the EU, and recommendations to prevent U.S.-style trial lawyer exploitation as class actions expand
